About this Training

Challenging and escalating is increasingly being identified as an area of learning in Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs), previously Serious Case Reviews. But when should we be escalating and challenging? How do we do this? What does this look like? By the end of this session you will: • Increase understanding the role of challenge and escalation in safeguarding children • Understand how to do this in practice • Increase confidence in challenging and escalating with colleagues, other professionals and agencies • Reflect on the challenges and our practice in challenging and escalating to safeguard children Who is it for? All practitioners, staff and professionals that come into contact with children, parents or carers whether infrequently or everyday.
