About this Training

Exploring how professional curiosity contributes to our understanding of children's lived experience, in order to safeguarding them effectively. A lack of professional curiosity is increasingly being identified in Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews as identified learning. In this interactive two-hour workshop, we will explore how professional curiosity contributes to our understanding of the child's lived experience and include various ways to hear and be aware of the child's voice. This will also be an opportunity to share knowledge, experience and perspectives across agencies and sectors. By the end of this session you will: • Increase understanding of Professional Curiosity • Build confidence in being Professionally Curious • Learn from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews • Increase our awareness of bias and impact this can have on us being professionally curious • Leave with some top tips Who is it for? All practitioners, staff and professionals that come into contact with children, parents or carers whether infrequently or everyday.
