Refresh safeguarding training (Level Three)
About this Training
Refresh safeguarding training, reflect on your current practice and how you work with other agencies, with the intention of further developing your knowledge and skills to promote child welfare, including through reflection of current learning. By the end of this session you will: ◾ Understand up to date information on the legislative framework and safeguarding guidance. ◾ Increase your understanding of your values and how these have been impacting on your practice. ◾ Knowledge of relevant recent Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs) or other safeguarding national / local learning that is in the public domain. ◾ Refresh knowledge on safeguarding essential processes / information. Who is it for ◾ For individuals that have completed the level three safeguarding training, within the last two years and whose role incorporates safeguarding. ◾ Members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents/carers and who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of a child and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns. ◾ For example – Safeguarding Leads, Social workers, youth offending service (YOS) staff, care workers, doctors, GP, youth workers, those working in the early years sector, residential staff, midwives, school nurses, health visitors, nurses and police officers, nursery managers, school nurses, mental health staff, safeguarding professionals, those working with adults, for example, learning disability, mental health, adult learning practitioners, alcohol and drug misuse services. Session Details ◾ Half day session ◾ Training will be adapted for your geographical area and the area of your work, if applicable. ◾ An additional specialist safeguarding area / topic can be included in an existing training programme for an additional charge of £150. This will include an hour virtual meeting to discuss and agree your requirements.
