About this Training

A lack of information sharing and seeking has been consistently identified in Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs), previously Serious Case Reviews. Practitioners often feel cautious about sharing safeguarding information for a variety of reasons. This session will clarify the requirements of information sharing as outlined in the London Safeguarding Child Safeguarding Procedures. By the end of this session you will: • Learn from Serious safeguarding incidents • Have an understanding of Information Sharing Law and Guidance • Practice through Case studies the application of the law • Learning top tips for information sharing and the role of professional curiosity • Understand the role of information sharing in the context of safeguarding children • Increase confidence in knowing when you should share safeguarding information with others. Who is it for? All practitioners, staff and professionals that come into contact with children, parents or carers whether infrequently or everyday.
