About this Training

The voice of the child is frequently identified as an area of learning in Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs), previously Serious Case Reviews. But what does this mean? How do we really learn the child’s wishes, feelings, life experiences and how do we use this in practice to safeguard the child. By the end of this session you will: • Understand what the ‘voice of the child’ means • Understand the importance in relation to safeguarding children • Understand the barriers to hearing, receiving and understanding the ‘voice of the child’ and incorporating in your role • Leave with Examples and ideas to incorporate in your practice Who is it for? All practitioners, staff and professionals that come into contact with children, parents or carers whether infrequently or everyday.
