About this Training
Training summary This is a two-hour workshop focusing on how we work with men within the safeguarding and family support context. Reflecting on the challenges and what we have learnt from Reviews, with a focus on increasing understanding of our role in working with men moving forward. Learning Objectives: • Increase understanding of the learning from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs) and Serious Case Reviews (SCRs) around working with men. • Have an understanding of the guidance around working with men. • Explore why we should be working with men - including to assess the risk factors but also identifying protective factors. • Explore how to engage men and leave with some practical examples • Have an understanding of professional curiosity in relation to working with men • Have practical tips you can use with the individuals / families you work with
